The Shoe Fairy began back in 2002. The inspiration for "The Shoe Fairy" came from a little boy in my daughters 1st grade class. He wore these shoes to school on a cold snowy February morning. He was in the classroom at the first recess and did not want to go outside. After learning that his family was not able to buy him new shoes until late spring or early summer, my daughter and I bought out a new pair of shoes for him.
My daughter did not want him to know that we bought them for him. So, since she had just had a visit from "The Tooth Fairy" she suggested that I tell him that we got them from "The Shoe Fairy". So, we took the new shoes to school and quickly found the boy. We and told him that the new shoes were from the Shoe Fairy, and if they fit him he could have them. He was beyond excited. The little boy tried them on... and they fit! He was so happy! We noticed a small tear in his eye as he asked... "can I really have them?" We we so happy to tell him that they were all his! We then explained that the Shoe Fairy knows when a child needs new shoes, and is simply there to help. I then asked him if I could have his old shoes. When he asked why, I told him that I'd give them to the Shoe Fairy and she would make them like new for another boy. He was amazed and felt happy to be able to give up his shoes for another child in need.
This was the day The Shoe Fairy was born! And all of the support we can get is appreciated and valued. If you would like to donate to this simple but yet profound cause, please let us know... and THANK YOU for your support!!

Our goal is to make sure that no matter the circumstances, children in elementary schools have a good pair of shoes. I am taking 100% of the donations we get to buy $15 dollar gift cards to Payless Shoe Source. This way the student with their parents can go and pick out their own new shoes. I work with teachers to have them notify me when it looks as if a child may be in need of shoes.
We also have a Yard Sale Fundraiser once a month in front of Rite Aide located at: 800 South State St. in Orem, Utah. This is a great time & place to donate things you don't want or need. We then sell all donated items at Yard Sales and turn it all into shoes for kids.
100% of these proceeds go directly to The Shoe Fairy.
Please contact us and we can pick up anything you might want to donate. Everything is appreciated!
